Post 18 Teacher Interview
The people that know Mr. Proses know that he’s the computer teacher, but for those who don’t know him or recognize his name he’s the service learning coordinator or in layman terms service hours. So if you need service hours stop by his classroom in the morning, during lunch, or after school. Now the cool thing about being in his class is that you’re on the computer the whole hour, and you can listen to music, but only if you have headphones.
He has adapted his teaching skills from years of experience, about 33 years of experience. Not all of them at Piper, only 13, another 11 at South Plantation, and 8 at a prison..You might be wondering why would you go from South Plantation to Piper? Well, mainly because it's a mile away from home, and because when he started at Piper his daughter also started here. That's what I call a caring parent.

Post 17 Senior Essay
Chantal Lockwood, a 17 year-old senior, is excited to go to college, and be free of high school. So this does mean she is going to college, but she’s not sure which college she will be attending, but she knows is she’s definitely going to a Florida college, but not a military college. Even if her parents were in the military, she thinks it’s too dangerous. When she finally decides what college she’s going to, she wants to become a social worker or even a child psychologist. She wants to become a social worker, so she can help the poor, defenseless kids out there in the world, and because Mrs. Reed would motive her to become better people and she’s an early childhood teacher, so she knows how to take care of kids.
Now that she’s going into college, she has decided to leave all her sports playing days behind her, and focus on her academics, but she’s still into track, and basketball. If worse comes to worse, and she doesn’t get into college, she’s going to get a job, just like any other person. If that ever happens, she would prefer to become a day care teacher.

Hitler developed the ideas that would soon be known as the Nazi ideology. He believed a person’s characteristics, attitudes, abilities, and behavior were determined by their so-called racial make-up. In Hitler’s eyes, he viewed all races with traits that they carried in them. No person could overcome the innate traits of race. Survival of a race depended on it’s ability to reproduce, accumulation of land and ability to feed their growing population. Plus, maintaining the gene pool, which would preserve the unique racial characteristics.

As I look out into the crowd, I can see successful kids, no I see successful adults. I see future lawyers, some professional athletes, and even some novel or poem writers, that’s all I see, no criminals, no gang bangers. I know many of you out there and I know how promising you all can become, but you can’t give up. I know for a fact that all the things I’ve been through, I won’t change a thing about my life, and I know you guys won’t change anything about your life either.
Now I know some of you guys think this is it no more school, no more waking up a dawn and no more hard obstacles to face, but let me tell there’s no dead end on this one way road, that we call life. You might not go to college, but just remember that if you don’t go to college, you won’t be very successful, and I’m sure you’ll regret it later on in life. This is no time for excuses, this is life and you can’t excuse yourself from it.

Post 13 Holocaust

Other than the killing of the Jews, Hitler killed other races. One of the races was the incurably sick who were described as “life unworthy of life”. Another race was the Gypsies (Romanies), which were broken up into two different categories, “sedentary” and “nomadic”. The homosexuals- gay man was another group Hitler disliked. Hitler said “Homosexuality is a symptom of degeneracy that could destroy our race- we must return to the guiding principle: extermination of degenerates”.

Post 12 Cross County Body Copy
In this world a lot of people hate running. Throughout Piper high school 2008-2009 season of cross country, there are a lot of dedicated and determine runners. The cross county team advance every year as more students join to become really physically fit and have great stamina. Through out the years of cross country for the runners, it has made them improve in other sports because it makes them have the energy to excel and show their endurance
Post 11 P.E. Body Copy
Now everyone has had physical education or P.E. at one point in their life. P.E. is one of those classes that everyone can’t wait to get too. You don’t have to do any classwork that involves writing. The classwork for this class involves exercising. But don’t think that it’s that easy, exercising also includes playing basketball, volleyball, push-ups, and running a mile weekly. If you don’t think you could pass the exercising portion, don’t worry. If you dress out every single day and participate in the activities, then you will walk out of P.E. with at least a B. The only reason why we get to have this much fun in class is because of the coach’s patience and determination to make this generation a healthy one.
Post 10 A.P. Body Copy
A.P also known as Advance Placement classes gives students a head start on college. This class not only raises your GPA but also gives you college credit. Piper provides many different varieties of A.P classes including English, Science and History. You do not have to take any kind of test to be enrolled in this course; however you must be recommended by your teacher. Advanced Placement curriculums are national, so every AP class throughout the country is all studying the same thing at the same time. Unlike regular core classes, advanced placement classes are taken year round at Piper. And the lessons are cumulative so at the end of the school year, there is a national exam that tests you on everything you’ve learned. AP classes can teach you how to prepare for college and be responsible, punctual, and independent.
Post 9 Foreign Language
Speaking a foreign language can be very difficult, but taking the time out to learn it can be very beneficial. At Piper, they offer Spanish, French and American Sign Language. In Spanish, students learn of the culture and language of Spanish speaking countries. Where as in French, students have to learn the pronunciation, and spelling of the language. In American Sign Language, also known as ASL, the students learn to speak with their hands instead of their mouths. As weird as it might feel compared to speaking your native language day in and day out, having the knowledge of another language is a great skill, and can help you be successful in college as well as earn a job.
Post 8 Automotive Body Copy
Automotive or auto-mechanics is a very skill required class. In this class, you will learn how to change a car’s oil and tires, fix brakes and engines. Auto is one of the most hands-on classes in Piper. You have to be willing to learn and be a good teammate, when working on cars. Unlike other classes, automotives lets you work on actual cars, but not nice cars like BMW or Jaguars just old broken down cars that need some work. This class is a lot more technical than what people might think. A lot of math and science goes in to learning about automotives. Post 7 Art Body Copy
Art is one of the most loved subjects in school. Art is the only subject where students can express themselves freely without using words. It all comes out in their masterpieces. If their piece is really good, they get the honor of going up on Piper’s walls. These marvelous pieces are known as Fine Art. But if you’re not blessed with that talent, you can still join the class and learn how to become an artist.
Post 6 Math Body Copy
Math is a subject that you’ve been learning since you started school. From the simplest math, like adding, to the hardest math, like calculus. Everywhere you go in life you have to use math, even a burger flipper at McDonald’s needs to know the simple stuff. Every subject in math you wind up learning something different, in geometry you learn about shapes, and the same for algebra, you might learn about numbers and proportions. No matter how hard things get, make sure that you try as hard as possible, be all that you can be and go beyond expectations.

GOOD MORNING LISTENERS …. Just another way to wake up those late day sleepers. Piper’s amazing radio station, 88.5 WKPX, features a variety of songs. These DJ get to choose from rock, punk, or even alternative. On the other hand some of the DJ’s don’t like playing those kinds of music. It’s kind of hard for those DJ’s to express themselves through music.
WKPX doesn’t just play for Piper, they play throughout Broward County. Being able to DJ to many people gives these students the opportunity to show-off their talent and pursue their dreams. That’s not as easy as it sounds because some students get stage freight. But that’s what DJ is all about… facing your fears and entertaining the audience.

Art is a way for students to show off their talents and be noticed by other people. If a student has an amazing talent like making beauty on a canvas, then why would you deny them their opportunity to shine? Teachers want kids to open their minds to new ideas, and that’s what art class is all about.

* Some students were denied hot lunches because there were unpaid accounts.
* There was over 10,000 dollars owed to the district

* They connected the kid’s parents so they could pay, and when they didn’t pay they cut the kids off.
*Yes the strategy did work because they got 80% back.

* The parents are upset because their kids had to go the whole day with lunch. I think the district did the right thing because they warned the parents

* Australia is saying that the best job in the world is working at the Great Barrier Reef. Some of the duties is watching whales, feeding the turtles and maybe clean the pool. Plus you have to write a weekly report of your experience there.

* The lawmakers are concerned how the treasury spent the first 3.5 billion dollars

9. Do you think that the Safety Council's proposal is a good idea? Why or why not?
* I do think it’s a good idea because there are too many accidents
10. If you drive, do you ever use your cell phone while driving? If so, have you ever found it to be a distraction? How so? Besides cell phone use, can you think of other activities that can cause distractions when someone is behind the wheel?
* I don’t drive so I wouldn’t know. Some other distractions are maybe a video playing, or loud music
